This last week’s assignment was: “household appliance”, Take a photo of an appliance in your house and use the elements / principles of design to convey how it’s role is viewed/personified in your household.”
Only one appliance so definitively holds an imperial status in our house.
Every morning it is the first appliance we activate, and the only device guaranteed to be used in our house at least once a day, every day.
Since its first arrival, all similar devices (drip, kettle, press) have faded into obsolescence, rarely now used, remembered…
It maintains supreme power over its human subjects with its magical aroma and deep, dark, “life awakening” elixir.
Early each morning we greet our espresso ruler, standing majestically in silver polished armor, prepared to lead its trusty subjects into another day.
I shot this using a wider lens than usual, shot from the bottom up, so as to give it a “bigger than life” perspective.
Cheers,
(BTW, For anyone interested, here is the challenge for this coming week Feb 01 – 07: “Macro Flower”,… pretty easy, pretty open, good luck!)
